The efforts in sustainable manufacturing and business over the years have gained URC Vietnam the title of Top 100 Sustainable businesses of Vietnam in 2020
On December 10, 2020, two leading events on sustainable development were held in Hanoi, including the Vietnam Corporate Sustainability Forum 2020 (VCSF 2020) and Announcing Ceremony of Sustainable Companies in Vietnam 2020. The events are opportunity to connect and honour the top businesses with sustainable development efforts in Vietnam. In 2020, the Announcing Ceremony welcomed the Vice President of Vietnam, Madam Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh to congratulate the Top 100 sustainable enterprises; while in the Forum, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam also gave direction to the business sector to continue sustainably operating and spread the spirit of sustainable development in the Vietnamese business community.
To achieve this prestigious title, businesses must meet the CSI Index with 127 indicators in 4 areas: sustainability results, competent governance, environmental protection, and sustainable labour practices. Based on the above rating scale, URC Vietnam has continued to be honoured in 2020 from more than 500 enterprises participating in the preliminary round.

This prestigious award will be the driving force for URC Vietnam to continue to operate and spread sustainable values in Vietnam based on three pillars: environmental and natural resources protection and, human development and quality products.

In terms of environment, in production activities, URC will increasingly optimize the use of water resources, energy resources and waste management. As for the environmental responsibility, URC Vietnam will continue to invest in environmental action as one of the founding members of the Packaging Recycling Organization Vietnam (PRO Vietnam). PRO Vietnam's action focus during this period is to increase awareness about waste segregation at source, thereby increasing the recycling rate of plastic waste, developing a circular economy, and make a green, clean and beautiful Vietnam.
