According to the WHO 2019 report, one third of the world’s population lacks access to clean water and the situation will become even more difficult in the next three decades as the world’s population increases. In Vietnam, natural conditions and climate change in recent years have caused a shortage of clean water for leisure activities and manufacture in many localities. Lack of clean water has become a constant concern of people in many areas, as they have started drilling wells, digging ponds, buying water, using river and stream water with poor quality, and even reusing water. Realizing the urgency of clean water problem as well as the desire of local people, URC Vietnam Co., Ltd – one of the top 100 Sustainable Development Enterprises in Vietnam with the CSI Award - has awarded many modern industrial water filtration system for people in some communes of Lam Dong province such as Loc Nam commune, Loc Lam commune (Bao Lam district), Da Quyn commune (Duc Trong district),..., where people face many difficulties due to the lack of domestic water sources, especially in dry seasons.

The URC Vietnam has awared water filtration system with RO membrane technology from the US, along with automatic operation mechanism and a filtering capacity up to 1,500 liters per hour. The system is also equipped with additional disinfection devices, decontamination, removal of microorganisms, and can be taken in directly,… to ensure the health of users. After completion, such projects will provide clean water more than 10,000 people in the above localities.

“Water is an essential resource in life. Therefore, providing the community with clean water sources is to create positive values ​​for the locality”, Mr. Le Huu Tri – representative of URC Vietnam emphasized.

According to Mr. Tri, the project of bringing a water purification system to the community is an activity in the series of projects “Supporting and improving the quality of people life in tea growing areas” implemented by the brand of C2 Green Tea and URC Vietnam in 2022 and will continue to expand in many other localities in a near future.

Along with social activities for the community, after nearly 20 years of development in the Vietnamese market, URC Vietnam Co., Ltd. never stops its journey of “giving”, in order to build a bright future for generations. These social activities programs are quite diverse: from awarding scholarships, warm clothes to highland children, giving rice and other necessities to disadvantaged households, etc.

For example, most recently, the URC Vietnam Co., Ltd. has awarded scholarships, together with the People's Committee of Binh Duong province and the Children's Fund of Binh Duong province. Through this program, URC Vietnam hopes to strengthen the children's peace of mind when they go to school and join hands to nurture their dreams.

In particular, the social responsibility of URC Vietnam is recognized by local authorities and people. URC Vietnam Co., Ltd. is one of the few companies honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Duong province for contributions the Company has brought to the young generation in Binh Duong province over the years.
